PogoJet
Pogo is an early stage charter jet company that will provide unscheduled flights throughout the Northeast, primarily based on an "on demand", per-mile, taxi service model. The Company will utilize a new class of jet aircraft, called Very Light Jets (VLJs). VLJ's are relatively inexpensive, have very low operating costs, and can fly travelers into smaller regional/municipal airports than have been possible to date. SunEthanol
SunEthanol, a seed stage spin-off from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, is developing a proprietary technology that can significantly lower the cost of producing ethanol fuel from a wide variety of cellulosic materials, including corn stover, wood waste, and recycled paper. This technology, named the "Q System," is based on a naturally occurring microbe originally discovered near the Quabbin Reservoir. SunEthanol intends to package the core technology with process engineering know-how and sell the Q System to ethanol producers.
